Hobbies and interests: Spending time with my son; coaching football and basketball; traveling; pursuing the great outdoors hunting, fishing and boating; health and fitness.

What are your goals for this year? To build meaningful friendships in the community for my son and I, and to complete an update of the city Zoning Ordinance.

What are your favorite things about spring? Mountain biking, fishing the Sacramento River, hunting turkeys, and watching my son play baseball.

What are some of your fondest memories? Seeing my son throw his first touchdown pass; guiding my dad to his first buck, a 4x4; fishing with friends; my Humboldt State college experience; playing football and winning my high school championship.

Whom do you most admire and why? Ron Paul. He is the staunchest and most courageous defender of the U.S. Constitution and all of our civil liberties. He is not swayed by politics, and lobbyists do not bother trying to buy his vote in Congress.

What is your dream job? Quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers; key word being "dream."

What qualities in people do you most admire? Principled courage and resiliency

What was the last thing that made you laugh? A home security sign that read: "Due to high ammunition costs, warning shots will not be fired."

What topic of conversation really gets you steamed? Our ballooning federal government and their spiraling $15 trillion debt. Gets me every time.

What are you thankful for? Living in Colusa with my son.

Is there anything you're truly passionate about? Coaching.

Biggest accomplishment? Being a good dad.
