Letter: Make music by donating box tops

As a music teacher within the Colusa Unified School District, and on behalf of the Friends of Music, our booster group, I would like to thank all the parents and community members who have been clipping the “Box Tops for Education” coupons. We just got another check, this time for nearly $100, and it sure was a welcome sight.

As our school district is faced with tightening its belt, the funds available are shrinking, causing all of us to look for alternative sources of funding. We will continue the Box Top program, and welcome your donations in the future. Coupons may be found on the top of hundreds of products, such as cereal boxes, paper and plastic products and even diapers.

To donate coupons, simply drop them off at the Egling Middle School office or in the band room. Thanks again!
