Man arrested in DUI crash
A Yuba City man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of drunken driving and causing injury when he reportedly started to make a U-turn in the path of oncoming traffic, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Nicholas S. Westbrook, 25, made a U-turn just before midnight on Highway 20 near Colusa. His car was struck by one driven by Uyu Yu, 34, also of Yuba City, the CHP said.
Yu suffered unspecified minor injuries, but declined medical treatment at the scene, the CHP said.
Westbrook was booked into the Colusa County Jail and released on $40,000 bail.
Westbrook is scheduled for arraignment on April 2 in Colusa County Superior Court.
