Letter: Yuletide Dinner 2009 a big success

On Dec. 25, 1984, Colusa County held its first Yuletide Dinner.

Over the years, hundreds of volunteers have donated thousands of hours and dollars toward a successful event. This year we served some 150 meals-on-wheels countywide and dinners at the Senior Nutrition Center in Colusa.

The following businesses, groups and organizations offered support and donations: Catherine's Kitchen, Chung Sun Market, Colusa Dairy, Colusa Gamma Alpha Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Colusa Linen Supply, Colusa Lions Club, Colusa Milling Company, Colusa Senior Nutrition Site, Davison Drug and Stationary, Gemma Power Systems California, Inc., Girl Scout Brownie Troop No. 3837, Johnson Printing, Omega Nu Sorority, Sun West Foods and Twisted River.

Monetary donations may be sent to: Yuletide Dinner, c/o Leslie Van de Ven, 720 Jay St., Colusa 95932. Please consider aiding us in our efforts on December 25, 2010. We welcome volunteers of all ages for set-up, food donations, serving, delivering, entertaining and clean-up.

Co-chairmwoman
