Rain or shine, it's rodeo time
Billed the “biggest little pro rodeo in the West,” the Stonyford Rodeo this weekend drew hundreds of people despite some much-needed rain in the foothills.
The event kicked off with a parade, followed by the grand entry of Stonyford Rodeo royalty and grand marshals Darrell and Rete Dalton. This year’s specialty act featured rodeo clown Troy Lerwill, known as “The Wild Child.” Bronc and bull riding was the main attraction for riders from all over California, Nevada and Arizona. The popular rodeo was the 66th annual event for the Stony Creek Horsemen’s Association.
