Discovery Day at Cache Creek

The Cache Creek Watershed Forum hosts the Cache Creek Discovery Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and geared towards all age groups. Cache Creek Nature Preserve is at 34199 County Road 20, six miles west of Woodland.

Guided hikes, wildlife viewing, Native American basketry and displays highlighting stream biology, local geology, wildlife and native plants are among the activities planned. Barbecue lunch available to purchase at a noon picnic with live music. No pets are allowed.

The Cache Creek Watershed Forum is a tri-county organization of natural resource, agricultural and educational partners. For more information about the event, call the Colusa County Resource Conservation District at 458-2931, ext. 3, or go to yolorcd.org and click on “news and events.”
