Event honors those affected by cancer
Glenn County cancer survivors are rallying for hope.
Organizers of the 2012 Relay for Life are moving full steam ahead to make the third annual fundraising event a greater success that previous years.
Relay for Life will be held June 2 at the Willows High School track, with cancer survivors opening the ceremony with a lap around the track.
The event includes 24 hours of activities and round-the-clock efforts to raise money for cancer research.
Relay for Life is a life-changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease, organizers said.
