Gun raffle for medical care
Kittle’s Outdoor & Sport Co. is raffling three more rifles and shotguns to raise money for a good cause. The first gun was raffled May 25 to help two area children with Russell-Silver Syndrome get the medical care they need.
Violet Weston, 2, of Williams and Hank Gibbs, 7, of Elk Grove both have Russell-Silver Syndrome, a condition present at birth that involves poor growth, low weight, short height and differences in the size of the two sides of the body.
It’s one of the rare forms of dwarfism that can be treated with growth hormones and diet.
Weston and Gibbs both need care from a specialist in New York, but their medical insurance only pays for care in California.
Raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 at Kittle’s Outdoor & Sport Co., 1004 Market St., Colusa. The first raffle was held Monday, according to Pat Kittle, which raised $300 for the fund.
The remaining guns, including a Ruger 243 caliper and a Tikka 270, will be raffled Monday, June 22 and July 6.
