Children's author visits Colusa school

Lisa Shulman, a children’s author from Sebastopool, visited Burchfield Primary School in Colusa last week. Shulman presented three inspirational assemblies to the students and participated in an “Author’s lunch” in the school library with 12 lucky second graders. She spoke to students about the creative writing process and how stories often evolve from real life. She taught the kids to always ask the question “What if” to spark their imagination and, most importantly, to do what you love and never give up.
