Woodcutting allowed in Lassen National Forest
Friday, Sep 14 2012, 7:05 pm
The Lassen National Forest is lifting its suspension on woodcutting activity on Tuesday, but prohibits cutting after 1 p.m.
Shorter days, cooler temperatures, and higher nighttime humidity recovery have allowed for the lifting of the all-out suspension.
Officials said woodcutters should use extra care to avoid creating sparks that could lead to fire.
