1 jailed in cocaine, meth bust
One man was jailed and one child taken into protective custody after local drug enforcement agents raided a Orland home on May 6.
Agents of the Glenn Interagency Narcotics Task Force seized cocaine and methamphetamine after executing a search warrant at a residence on County Road 23.
The arrest of Shelton Taylor, 50, was the result of a ongoing investigation that reportedly revealed narcotics were being sold from the residence, law enforcement officials said.
The search of the home reportedly turned up 3.3 grams of methamphetamine, .9 grams of cocaine and 277.5 grams of marijuana, all of which has an estimated street value of about $6,000, officials said.
Drug paraphernalia and digital scales indicating drug sales were also seized, officials said.
Taylor was transported and booked into the Glenn County Jail in Willows for investigation of being in possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Agents took a 13-year-old boy into protective custody and released him to Glenn County Child Protective Services, whose case workers were called to the scene.
Taylor has also been charged on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child.
His bail was set at $88,000.
