Escaped inmate has ties to Yuba-Sutter area
The state Department of Corrections is advising Yuba-Sutter residents to be on the lookout for a 35-year-old inmate who escaped from the Alder Creek Conservation Camp near Klamath on Friday night.
Justin William Hardin is believed to have associates in the Yuba-Sutter area, said public information officer Margaret Pieper. He was working in the minimum-security camp as a firefighter and was last seen at 11:30 p.m. Friday.
He was convicted in Santa Clara County of corporal injury to a spouse in September 2010 and was not scheduled for parole until November 2013.
Hardin is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and pants.
He is not considered dangerous, but anyone who sees Hardin should call 911 or contact law enforcement, Pieper said.
Anyone with information about his possible whereabouts should call the California Correctional Center watch commander at 257-2181, ext. 4173.
