A 44-year-old Sacramento man, who the CHP said may have been under the influence of narcotics, died in a single-vehicle accident west of Williams late Sunday morning.
Jaime Pablo Barrios was eastbound on Highway 20, west of Walnut Drive, when he allowed his 2000 Ford Ranger pickup to veer south off the highway, the CHP reported, citing a witness statement.
Barrios lost control of the truck, overturned and came to rest on its top on the south shoulder of the highway, the CHP reported.
Barrios was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred about 11:30 a.m.
