Prune Day in Red Bluff slated Friday
The 10th annual Tehama Prune Day is scheduled from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge, 355 Gilmore Rd., Red Bluff.
Co-sponsored by UC Cooperative Extension, Tehama County Agriculture Commissioner's Office, California Dried Plum Board and Sunsweet Growers Inc., the meeting's early morning sessions will focus on the history of prune production in the state, weed control and resistance management, regulations, and pest control. The later sessions will include nitrogen nutrition, prune disease, and marketing.
A buffet lunch will be provided at 12:15 p.m., followed by a question and discussion period.
