LaMalfa appointed to resources, ag panels
Rep. Doug LaMalfa said Thursday he has been appointed to five subcommittees that could have a direct impact on the North State, particularly in the areas of water supply, forest management and agriculture.
"I am pleased and excited to be appointed to these five subcommittees, which I believe are an excellent fit and very important to California's 1st Congressional District," LaMalfa, R-Richvale, said in a statement. "Water supply, forest management and agriculture are primary economic factors in the district and I am eager to utilize my experience and background as a member of these subcommittees."
In the House Committee on Natural Resource LaMalfa has been appointed to the subcommittees of Water and Power, Public Lands, and Indian Affairs.
In the House Committee on Agriculture, he will serve on the subcommittees of General Farm Commadities and Risk Management, and the Horticulture, Research, Biotechnology subcommittee, as well as Foreign Agriculture.
