Highway 20 repaving will cause delays
Motorists can expect weekday delays and one-way traffic controls on Highway 20 between Williams and the Lake County line for the next three months for repaving, Caltrans reported.
Lane restrictions are expected from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday next week. Delays of up to 15 minutes should be expected at various locations on Highway 20 from 1 mile west of Leesville Road through the town of Williams to Husted Road.
Starting on April 23, one-way traffic controls are scheduled to occur around-the-clock for about three weeks. The lane restrictions each week will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Mondays and continue through 3 p.m. on Fridays.
The $8.3 million project calls for placing rubberized asphalt on 28 lane miles of roadway, which will improve safety and provide a smoother ride.
After the paving work is completed, one-way traffic controls at various locations from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for striping, marking, erosion control and guard-rail work.
Caltrans urges motorists to use caution in this area.
