Tri Counties Bank coming to Colusa
Tri Counties Bank is coming to Colusa — and with a familiar face.
Tina Beckley of Colusa, formerly with Wells Fargo, will be the branch manager.
Dan Bailey, executive vice president of retail banking for Tri Counties, is also a Colusa resident.
"This new location in Colusa is an example of our continued commitment to doing business locally," Bailey said in a statement.
He confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the bank will be located in the former Taco Bell restaurant at the corner of Bridge and Fremont streets.
The branch, the first for Tri Counties Bank in the county, is expected to open this summer, officials said.
Bailey said there would be five to six employees; but other than Beckley, those staffing decisions have not been made.
In announcing the move, Tri Counties made it clear that boosting its agriculture accounts is a priority.
"Colusa is in the heart of the California's rice industry and boasts a historically strong agricultural community, making it a natural fit for Tri Counties Bank," Rick Smith, president and chief executive officer for Tri Counties Bank, said in a statement released Tuesday.
It is a subsidiary of TriCo Banchares, which is traded on NASDAQ as TCBK. It is headquartered in Chico.
At the end of the year, the company reported that Tri Counties Bank had more than $2.5 billion in assets and 68 locations in Northern and Central California, including Willows, Yuba City and Marysville.
"This location will help us continue to grow our existing client relationships in Colusa County, while also allowing us a more effective means of acquiring new relationships in the area. We're very excited about serving this vibrant agricultural community," Smith said.
The branch will offer a full range of services, including retail, commercial, business, agricultural, mortgage banking and investment services through Raymond James Financial Services Inc., the company said.
