Best spellers named

John Boeger, left, from Egling Middle School, took first place, and Anna Rios, from Williams Upper Elementary School, was runner-up during the 2012 Colusa County Elementary Spelling Contest. John and Anna will represent Colusa County on April 21 in the California State Elementary Spelling Championship. As the runner-up in 2011, this will be John's second trip to the annual state contest held in Stockton.
