Sportsman Expo returns to Chico this weekend
The second annual North State Sportsman Expo is being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico.
This year's event features a large selection of notable fishing and hunting guides, popular outdoor destinations and the latest in gear aimed at maximizing the enjoyment of sportsmen and women. Along with featuring hunting and fishing guides from Northern California and Oregon, there will also be exhibitors showcasing products and services that include aluminum boats, wildlife artwork, handmade call, fly fishing gear, reels and rods and much more.
Attendees can also watch the popular Spash Dogs competition, along with a kids fishing pool and a spinning reel casting pond, which are both free to the public. There is also a paintball shooting gallery, a bungee trampoline, a rock wall and a Segway demonstration.
Four seminar locations will feature speakers focusing on everything from fly-fishing trips and dog-training techniques, to area hot spots and more. Seminar schedules can be found online at NorthStateSportsman.com.
Admission is $5 at the gate, with kids 15 and under admitted free.
