Maxwell 11, Hayfork 1

Maxwell High ran away with a victory in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday in Hayfork, completing the Panthers' undefeated run through the Five Star League slate of games.

The Panthers (18-1, 10-0) smashed nine extra-base hits against the defending league champions in the final game of the regular season.

Andi Robledo and Madison Wells drove in two runs apiece and Robledo scored three times.

Maxwell 9, Hayfork 6

The Panthers led 9-1 before the Timberjacks rallied for five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning during the first game of the doubleheader.

Shelen Boyes and Jenna Powell drove in two runs each, and Ashley Azevedo and Alexz Miller scored twice for Maxwell.

Colusa 5, Durham 0

Sophia Garcia scored twice and struck out 13 while throwing a two-hit shutout as the RedHawks clinched a share of the Sacramento Valley League title with Willows, following a win over the Trojans in Durham.

Ashleigh Biggs hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, Brittanee Garcia went 2 for 2 and scored twice and Yasmin Moreno doubled for Colusa (14-6-1, 9-1), which has won the SVL title three out of the last four years.

Princeton 10, Herlong 0

Brittany Ewing doubled and scored twice during Princeton High's three-inning victory during the second game of a doubleheader Monday against visiting Herlong.

Ewing, Ashley McMartin and Miranda Perez each went 2 for 2 and Gaby Rodriguez gave up one hit and struck out two in three innings pitched.

The Eagles (8-7-2, 6-4-2 Evergreen) won the final four games of the regular season and finished in fourth place out of nine teams in the Evergreen League.

Princeton 17, Herlong 0

Rodriguez hit three doubles and the Eagles won the opening game of the doubleheader 17-0 after scoring 14 times in the first inning.

Maryssa Martin and Amanda Hansen both doubled and all nine starters reached base at least twice.
