Elk Creek 3, Pierce 0
The Bears lost 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 22-25 on the road in Elk Creek.

Pierce fell to 1-8 and played Tuesday at Biggs.

Elk Creek raised its record to 7-5.

River Valley 3, Maxwell 0
Despite scoring in the 20's in each game, it was not enough to keep the Panthers from losing three straight to River Valley Tuesday. The Lady Panthers were beaten 21-25, 23-25, 20-25.

Colusa 3, Maxwell 2
Maxwell won the first and fourth games of the match but a fifth game was needed Thursday in Colusa, and the Redskins were able to capture the game and the match to send the Bears down in defeat 25-22, 15-25, 7-25, 24-14, 8-15.

Maxwell fell to 0-14-1 as they prepared for Wednesday's game in Elk Creek.

Junior varsity

Pierce 2, Hamilton 1
All three games were extremely competitive, as the Bears rebounded from a first-game 24-26 loss to take the next two and the match, by scores of 25-21, 15-11.
