Sign-up and try-outs for Colusa Little League

Sign-ups for Colusa Little League are set for four dates in January and try-outs will be held on Feb. 9 at Colusa Area Little League. Parents are encouraged to sign players up early, as fees will increase after the first two sign-up dates. The fee is $50 for players at the first two dates: Jan. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Egling Middle School gym, and Jan. 16 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Princeton Elementary School.

The fee increases to $60 on the next sign-up date: Jan. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Egling Middle School gym, and to $65 on Jan. 23 from 5-7 p.m. at Burchfield Primary School cafeteria.

Try-outs for the major and minor division for both baseball and softball will be held on Feb. 9. Major baseball try-outs are at noon, major softball at 1 p.m., minor baseball at 2 p.m. and minor softball at 3 p.m.

Colusa Little League seeks sponsors

Colusa Little League is taking registration for sign sponsors at the ball park. A commitment card is required.

Maxwell Little League sign-ups

The dates to sign up for Maxwell Little League are set for Jan. 15, 22 and 29 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Maxwell Fire Hall. All residents from within Westside Little League boundaries are welcome, though there will be sign-ups held in Williams and Arbuckle at later dates. Players ages 5-14 can sign up for T-ball on up to junior league. Fees are $50 for the first child and $5 less for each player after that.

Parents of all first-year players need to bring a copy of his or her birth certificate.
