Sports Briefs: AYSO soccer, umpiring clinic
AYSO registration in Colusa County
The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is returning to offer soccer in Colusa County in 2012, and is holding registrations in a number of towns. The program is 100 percent volunteer staffed, and volunteers and coaches are needed. All games will be played locally.
Interested parents and players may register anytime at the Williams Finance Office, or at one of the local registrations:
Arbuckle - March 15, 6-8 p.m. or April 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Arbuckle Parks and Registration Building.
Williams - March 27, 6-8 p.m. or May 17, 6-8 p.m. at Williams City Hall.
Colusa - March 21, 6-8 p.m. or April 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Jeff's Freezette.
Maxwell - March 12, 6-8 p.m. or March 16, 6-8 p.m. at the Maxwell High library.

Umpire clinics set
Clinics for Little League umpires will be held March 9-11.
The first will be held 5-9 p.m. Friday in Room 521 of Yuba College in Linda.
The next two will be held 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sutter Buttes Little League Park, 1151 Market St., in Yuba City.
