Redskins spiked by East Nic
After scoring a 25-15 win in the first game Thursday, the Colusa High girls volleyball could not hold onto the momentum, dropping the next three and the match to visiting East Nic 23-25, 21-25, 17-25.
Caroline Meyers and Katie Mobley each dropped a half dozen kills to the floor on the opposite side of the net, but the Redskins could not counter the attack of the Spartans' Emily Toledo, who rained down 15 kills.
East Nic was also much stronger at the service line, putting up 38 points, led by 10 from Haley Uhland.
Jessica Myers and Jessica Garcia led the Redskins' defense with six digs apiece.
Emily Mobley and Katelyn Mena combined for 12 assists, with Mobley putting up seven of them.
Colusa (1-1) played Tuesday at Winters.
