The Bears season ended with a second-round loss to No. 4 Mt. Shasta High on Friday.

No. 5 Pierce went 18-7 and finished with their best record in five seasons. They claimed a share of the Sacramento Valley League title with a 10-2 record.

Three-year starters Oscar Dorantes (14.9 points per game) and Andy Corona (14.5) led a senior-laden team which included sharpshooter Hayden Kalfsbeek (8.2) and defensive stalwarts Joey Hernandez and Jesus Huerta.
