Westside Littlle League seeks board members

The Westside Little League (Arbuckle, Maxwell and Williams), is holding its election of board members at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 20 at the Arbuckle Golf Course.

Anyone interested in joining the board is encouraged to attend.

Azzuri Soccer Club raising funds

The Azzuri Soccer Club - a Colusa County U18 girl's team - is selling raffle tickets to help with the purchase of uniforms, scholarships, equipment and camps.

Tickets cost $5 each, with cash prizes of $500 and $200 up for grabs, along with numerous gift certificates. Deadline for purchasing tickets is Sept. 11, and you need not be present to win.

Tickets may be purchased by calling 218-1210 or 701-2304, or by contacting Erick Munoz at Jackpot Food Mart in Colusa.

Ticket proceeds support scholarship

Help support the Lance Utterback Scholarship given to police students attending Butte College.

All proceeds from Chico Outlaw tickets, made available through Dean Utterback, will go towards the scholarship fund.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 824-5909.

Chico Police Officer Lance Utterback passed away in 2006 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
