Williams junior varsity picks up first win

Williams' junior varsity volleyball team made an enjoyable trip to Redding Thursday, playing two great games and wining  them both, beating host Liberty Christian 25-20, 28-26.

"We are improving daily," said Coach Christy Correa. "Natalie Reyes has assumed a leadership role on the team."
 
She has high hopes for Reye at the varsity level.

Correa also points to her returning sophomores for the excellent examples they are setting for the first-year players.

Reyes finished with 13 points at the service line with an ace, to also go along with a kill.

Also serving well were Liz Rivera and Itzel Ramirez each with seven points, Jessi Coder and Kayla Mackaben, each with six, and Emily Padilla, who had four.

The junior varsity is now 1-2.

The junior varsity was in action Tuesday at Colusa agasint the Redskins.
