Durham 17, Williams 3
The Trojans (4-0) continued to pile on the runs, moving their season total to 62 in four games with a victory against Williams on Thursday.
Williams (0-2) scored three runs in the 4th but couldn't overcome a 12-run 1st inning by Durham.
Durham 16, Pierce 3
Freshman Riley Voorhees made her pitching debut under difficult circumstances as Pierce High (1-2, 0-1) lost to Durham in the Bears' SVL opener Tuesday.
The Pierce lineup was depleted by illness and injury, forcing Voorhees to pitch against the undefeated Trojans.
At the plate, Voorhees drove in a run, Cheyenne Mitchell went 2 for 2, and Carissa Cabral and Julia Dye each added singles.
