Williams boys edged at home

Despite a huge comeback attempt Wednesday, the Williams High boys basketball team was unable to crawl out of a 14-point hole after the third period, losing 50-45 at home to Biggs.

Tony Salcedo dropped in a season-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and Devon Carr sank 14, hitting an impressive 8-of-11 from the line.

Martin Ibarra's 15 represented the Wolverines' best.

The Yellowjackets (5-11, 2-2 Mid-Valley League) played Friday at Los Molinos. Next week Williams treks to East Nicolaus on Wednesday, and hosts Esparto Friday.
