Despite turning over the ball six times, the Bears earned an overtime victory on the road in their season opener.

JV Football

Willows 34, Colusa 14

The Redskins JV fell 34-14, scoring both of its TDs late in the fourth quarter.

Colusa got on the board on a 2-yard keeper by Kyle Cervantes with 3:33 left to play, with Cervantes also carrying in the conversion. Andrew Rodriguez then dashed 51 yards into the end zone with 28 seconds left.

Los Molinos 14, Williams 0

Malik Hopkins broke a scoreless tie with seven minutes left in the game, and added a defensive score two minutes and 35 seconds later as the Los Molinos High junior varsity football team defeated host Williams 14-0 in the season opener for both squads.

Antony Morton connected with Rudy Martinez on a two-point conversion following the second touchdown.

The Yellowjackets (0-1) put together a long late-game drive, but it stalled inside the 15-yard line as they turned the ball back over to the Bulldogs (1-0) on downs.
