Cowboys rope Aztecs for pair of wins
There was not a great deal of offense Saturday, but the Colusa Cowboys and the hometown fans did not mind a bit, as both the Peewee and Midget Division squads posted wins over visiting Orland.
The Jr. Midget team fell 16-0.
Colusa travels to Cottonwood to take on West Valley this week.
Peewees
Dutch Kalfsbeek's strong right arm accounted for 80 yards of passing, with a big chunk of it coming in the form of a 50-yard scoring strike to Ronald Daniels, which was enough to help the Cowboys to a 7-6 win.
Dylan Jones rushed for 65 yards, and carried in the pivotal PAT.
Defensively, Jones made 13 tackles and caused a fumble; Diego Villanueva wrapped up six; Juan Huerta fell on a fumble and Raymond Frias came up with a big interception to halt a potential Orland scoring drive.

Midgets
The defense came up bigtime for the midgets, none bigger than Damian Garcia, whose 90-yard interception return for a pick-six accounted for the only points in the 6-0 victory.
Laine LaGrande made eight tackles, two of which were for sacks and Garcia contributed six.
Garcia ran for rushing honors with 55 yards, followed closely by Adrian Pedraza (50) and Brian Burg (35).
