Pierce 28, Hamilton 7
Senior fullback Andy Corona rushed for 116 yards on 28 carries and three touchdowns to lead the Bears over the Braves at Gregg LeMaster Field in their home opener, according to the Appeal-Democrat.
Quarterback Nate Smith rushed for a 5-yard score to complete the scoring for Pierce (2-0).
Defensively, Smith's brother, Preston Smith, totaled 13 tackles and Joe Howard had 11 tackles and an interception.
Joey Hernandez picked up 51 yards on six carries to round out a strong effort for Pierce, which faces East Nicolaus next week.

Maxwell 17, Williams 6
Maxwell quarterback Hunter Mobley rushed 42 yards and completed 4-of-7 attempts for 57 yards passing with a touchdown toss to Brian Burg.
Burg had 50 yards rushing and Martin Rangel carried the ball 15 times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Isasis Martinez kicked a field goal and made both point-after attempts.
Burg led the Panthers with six tackles, and Peyton Schmidt and Martin Rangel added three each.
